How to get a Doorstep Visit for Your Digital Life Certificate with IPPB
The India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has introduced a convenient “Doorstep Digital Life Certificate” service, allowing Digital Life Certificate for pensioners to submit their DLC from the comfort of their homes. This initiative is beneficial for those elderly pensioners or those with mobility issues, ensuring they can easily access their pension benefits without the need to visit a bank or pension office. What is Digital Life Certificate (DLC)
The Digital Life Certificate, also known as Jeevan Pramaan Certificate, is a biometric-enabled digital service that pensioners have must submit annually to verify their existence and continue their pension benefits. The DLC can be generated using Aadhaar-based biometric authentication, making the process safe and secure.

How to fix schedule for a Doorstep Visit for DLC Submission
We are providing step by step solution to fix schedule for a doorstep visit for DLS submission.
Step 1- Pre-requisites for generating DLC
- Pensioner must have an Aadhaar number
- Pensioner must have an existing mobile number
- Registration of the Aadhaar number with pension disbursing agency (bank/ post office etc.) should be done already
- Pensioner should also keep the following details handy**:
- Type of pension
- Sanctioning authority
- Disbursing agency
- PPO number
- Account number (pension)
Step 2 Request for a doorstep visit for DLC
There are 3 methods to get a doorstep visit for DLC.
1 Through Postinfo Apps
- Download Postinfo app from google play store.
- Open app and click on service request option.
- Fill your detail with carefully like-Name, address, pincode and Mobile number
- Select “IPPB” as the service provider and choose “Jeevan Pramaan (Digital Life Certificate) Generation
- Confirm your request, and an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to finalize your request
2 Through Call Center
To Get doorstep visit through Call Center. You can call the toll-free number 155299 and request the service. Mention your date and time for the visit
3 Through nearest Post Office
Any member of your family can visit your nearest post office and request a doorstep visit for digital life certificate directly.
Step 3- Wait for Confirmation
Once you have submitted your request, a postman or Gramin Dak Sevak will be assigned to visit your home within 24 hours. They will contact on your registered mobile number to confirm a doorstep visit date and time.
Step 4- Preparation for the visit
On the schedule day, please ensure and get ready Adhar card for biometric verification and pension related documents.
Step 5- Pay Fee
Upon successful generation you have to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 70 (inclusive of GST). This fee is payable in cash to the postman or Gramin Dak Sevak after the successful generation of digital life certificate.
Step 6- Downlaod your Digital Life Certificate
After the completion of biometric verification, Digital Life Certificate will be generated instantly. You will receive a Pramaan ID, which is necessary to download your DLC from the Jeevan Pramaan portal at jeevanpramaan.gov.in. Screenshot is below
Step 7- Confirmation
When your bank or pension disbursing bank/authority accept your DLC. You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number confirming that your DLC has been accepted by your pension disbursing bank. After that your process completed. No need to do anything after that.
